Black Forest Cheesecake
A rich and indulgent Black Forest Cheesecake with layers of creamy chocolate cheesecake, an Oreo crust, and a luscious cherry topping.

Ingredients :

Crust:
2 cups Oreo cookie crumbs (about 24 cookies)
4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
Chocolate Cheesecake Filling:
16 oz (450g) cream cheese, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
3 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate, melted and slightly cooled
1/2 cup sour cream
Cherry Topping:
1 1/2 cups cherry pie filling
1/2 cup fresh or maraschino cherries
Whipped Cream & Garnish:
1 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Chocolate shavings for garnish

Directions:

1. Prepare the Crust:
Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
Mix Oreo crumbs with melted butter until combined.
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a springform pan.
Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool.
2. Make the Cheesecake Filling:
Beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each.
Stir in vanilla extract and melted chocolate.
Mix in sour cream until smooth.
3. Bake the Cheesecake:
Pour the batter over the crust and smooth the top.
Bake for 50–55 minutes or until the center is slightly set.
Turn off the oven, crack the door, and let the cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour.
Chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours (preferably overnight).
4. Assemble the Toppings:
Spread cherry topping over the chilled cheesecake.
Whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
Pipe or spoon whipped cream on top.
Garnish with chocolate shavings and whole cherries.

Storage Information:

Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Freeze individual slices wrapped tightly for up to 2 months.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve chilled with extra cherry sauce on the side.
Pair with a glass of red wine or hot coffee.
Variations:
Use dark chocolate for a more intense flavor.
Swap cherry topping for raspberry or strawberry preserves.
