
Strawberry and cream cake: the recipe for a delicious dessert
Ingredients:
– For the sponge cake:
4 eggs
120 g sugar
120 g flour
– For the filling:
400 ml milk
4 egg yolks
Vanilla sugar
90 g sugar
40 g cornstarch
6 g gelatin sheets
300 ml whipping cream
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp mascarpone (optional)
20 g butter
500 g strawberries
Preparation:
1. Beat the eggs and sugar until frothy, then add the sifted flour.
2. Pour the dough into a baking tray covered with baking paper.
3. Bake at 170° for 10 minutes.
4. For the filling: mix the egg yolks, vanilla sugar and sugar, then also add the cornstarch.
5. Add the lukewarm milk, transfer the mixture to a saucepan and cook over low heat until it thickens.
6. Now add the hydrated gelatin.
7. Whip the cream with the vanilla, sugar and mascarpone. Then mix with the custard you prepared earlier.
8. Assemble the cake by alternating the sponge discs, the filling and the fresh strawberries in pieces.
9. Refrigerate for at least 5 hours, then decorate with the filling and strawberries on top.
